Monday June 6th, 2011, Apple announced to release its new OSX named Lion for the mac users. The new Lion OSX have more than +250 new features of which “Full-Screen Apps”, “Multi-Touch Gestures”,”Mission Control”,”Mac App Store”,”Lunchpad”, “Resume”, “Auto Save”, “Versions”, “AirDrop”, “Mail” are some of the main features.

Everything in the new Lion OSX seems to be wonderful and very helpful to the mac users but only one thing concerns me to write this blog post. The main concern of mine as well as most of the people might be the upgrade system Apple has announced this time. The new OSX Lion will be only available in Mac App Store and will be automatically upgraded from Mac App Store only eliminating the Disc that we used to buy for upgrading Apple’s previous versions of the OSX. They have dramatically decreased the price of the new OSX from previous $129.99 to $29.99 only for Lion but how is everyone who owns a mac will updated the 4GB download keeping in mind that not every part of the world have high speed internet access to them and not all mac users have iTunes account/Mac App Store account with them, so how are they going to update their current Snow Leopard OSX to Lion? This thing concerns a lot to me.

I am lucky that I am using my brother’s credit card account for iTunes/Mac App Store to buy apps but not everyone is lucky as I am, isn’t it? So, is Apple is going to bring any alternate method for those users who doesn’t have iTunes/App Store account with them? or are they gonna stick up with the Mac App Store upgrade only?

Please leave your comment and let me know your thought on this matter
